Meet Rick Bayless! Bayless is most well-known as a chef and restaurant entrepreneur. His highly rated Public Television Series, Mexico–One Plate at a Time, has wrapped its 11th season and is broadcast coast to coast. He has nine cookbooks, including The New York Times best-seller, Fiesta at Rick’s. His most recent cookbook is More Mexican Everyday. His Chicago full-service restaurants include the award-winning Frontera Grill, Xoco, Leña Brava, Cervecería Cruz Blanca, and the four-star Topolobampo. The Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District is hosting two ticketed events on this evening. 7:30 – 9:00pmBook Lecture & Signing Ticket price: $15 General admission seating for the book lecture at the Winnetka Community House. This lecture begins at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 7:00pm. This ticket includes: General Admission seating for the lecture and book signing 6:00 – 9:30pm Cocktail & Appetizer Author Reception (6-7:30pm) with Reserved Seating for the Book Lecture & Signing (7:30-9:00pm) Ticket price: $50 Mingle and enjoy conversation with Rick Bayless at this intimate, small gathering in the beautiful Arches Garden Room. This ticket includes: Unlimited delicious appetizers A full open bar Complimentary reserved priority seating for the 7:30pm lecture and book signing Both events take place in the Winnetka Community House. What's the difference between the $15 and $50 tickets?The $15 ticket is for general admission seating to lecture only. The $50 ticket includes a cocktail and appetizer reception with the author and reserved seats for the lecture. What time does the cocktail event start?6:00pmWhat time does the lecture start?7:30pm; doors open at 7:00pm Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?Admission to the cocktail event is limited to guests age 21 and older. What's the refund policy?Tickets are refundable on or before September 7, less credit card processing fees of $3.74 per ticket (cocktail) or $1.82 (lecture). Tickets may be transferred to another name at no charge. Refunds cannot be made after September 7.
