ZANIES DEBUT: Since moving to New York in 2012 JOE ZIMMERMAN has landed TV appearances on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon (2017), Conan on TBS (2015), John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show on Comedy Central (2013), The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (2013), NBC’s Last Comic Standing (2014), Nickelodeon (2013), and his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special (2014). He recorded his debut album “Smiling at Wolves” in 2014, which reached #2 on the iTunes charts. Buzzfeed has called him a “Comedian you should be paying attention to,” while Paste Magazine featured him as one of “10 Great Comics from the South.” JOE began doing comedy in North Carolina in 2006 and toured the southeast with the Beards of Comedy from 2008-2012. JOE grew up in Morgantown, WV and graduated from Davidson College in 2005.
Joe Zimmerman: After graduating from Davidson College in 2005, Joe tried out his first open mic and hasn’t looked back. He now travels tirelessly, bringing his unique style of comedy, and playful delivery to stages all across the east coast. In 2007, Creative Loafing Magazine named him Charlotte's Comedian of the Year, and in the same year he made it to the finals of the Carnival Comedy Challenge at the Pittsburgh Improv. Most recently, Joe was invited to MC the Asheville Comedy Festival at the prestigious Diana Wortham Theatre, where he will open for Alonzo Bodden, winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing. Joe has also opened for comedy greats such as Todd Barry, Doug Stanhope, and Todd Yohn.
