Evanston Climate Action and Resilience Plan Kick-off
The City of Evanston and Mayor Steve Hagerty invite community environmental leaders and activists to the fall 2017 Sustain Evanston meeting on Saturday, September 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Evanston Ecology Center’s Great Room. The purpose of this meeting is to kick-off the City's next climate action planning process and to bring people together who are working in the sustainability and environmental spheres in Evanston to get to know each other and open a dialog that can help us all foster more coordination, communication and cooperation for our mutual goals. Light refreshments will be provided. Meeting Agenda 9:00 - 9:30 - Networking and Light Refreshments 9:30 - 9:45 - Welcome and Introductions 9:45 - 10:00 - Remarks by Mayor Hagerty 10:00 - 10:30 - Overview of Climate Action and Resilience Plan 10:30 - Noon - Networking Formal organizations and grassroots groups working in the areas of the environment, habitat, activism, climate change, energy efficiency and other sustainability topics are encouraged to send representatives to this event. There will be space for organizations to leave business cards, share small displays and leave program brochures.
