Tales From The Trenches: Amanda Lannert, CEO of Jellyvision
Jellyvision was named to both Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2016 “Best Places to Work” list and the Chicago Tribune’s “Top Workplaces 2016”. They made both lists in 2014 and 2015 as well. The company has a 4.4 average review on Glassdoor and their page is peppered with adoring comments from satisfied employees. The gaming-turned-HR-software company has quietly built one of the highest-performing, most in-demand teams in Chicago and across the country. And the company has emerged as a global leader in helping employees at big companies navigate complex benefits choices. Amanda Lannert, CEO of Jellyvision, will take the MATTER stage for an in-depth conversation with Steven Collens, CEO of MATTER, in the next event in our Tales from the Trenches series, which MATTER produces with Outcome Health (formerly ContextMedia) and Pritzker Group Venture Capital. Amanda and Steven will discuss Jellyvision’s winning culture, Amanda’s personal journey to lead one of the best tech companies in Chicago, the big pivot from gaming, and everything in between. Amanda Lannert is the chief executive officer of The Jellyvision Lab, Inc. and has been a key figure in driving the company’s direction since its founding in 2001. Her focus at The Jellyvision Lab is on furthering the company’s digital strategy, improving processes to better scale operations, and customer acquisition to continue fueling the company’s growth. Under Amanda’s leadership, Jellyvision has doubled its revenue three out of the last four years and has grown to serve hundreds of mostly Fortune 1000 clients with interactive communication solutions for desktop, mobile, and emerging platforms via the company’s digital agency work and ALEX, the Jellyvision Benefits Counselor (www.meetalex.com). Prior to joining The Jellyvision Lab, Amanda managed global brands for Kellogg’s while at Leo Burnett, where she developed strategies and implemented campaigns for Pop-Tarts and Nutri-Grain bars, in addition to spending two years in a new business and new brand development think tank. Amanda is a two-time CEO of the Year at the Moxie Awards and has been profiled in the Chicago Tribune.
