More Info

One of the best features of JavaScript is the famous Event Loop. It allows developers to write fast, efficient, applications without worrying about threads. Traditionally, JavaScript developers have used the "Callback" pattern to interact with the event loop. This design pattern leaves much to be desired. It has even garnered the term "callback hell." However in ES2015, JavaScript included a native solution to this problem: Promises! In this event we'll cover the what, why, and how of JavaScript promises. Attendees should have a strong understanding of JavaScript and programming fundamentals and should be able to explain asynchronicity.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING A LAPTOP! Macs, Windows, and Linux are all okay. Note: This event is free but we are charging $5 to reserve your seat. It will be refunded upon attendance.
