The 606 Tavern Talk --Stories: Park Life
Join us for the next Tavern Talk —A 606 Trail Mix event Did you meet the love of your life in a park? Did you see something unforgettable in a park? Join us for an evening of storytelling featuring first –person accounts about the ways parks transform our lives. This Tavern Talk will be hosted by Lily Be, founder of The Stoop (www.thestoop.us ) a monthly storytelling series in Humboldt Park. She’ll kick off the open mic night by sharing some of her own stories. Then you’ll have an opportunity to share your own tale, no more than 5 minutes, about the power of parks in your life. Do you have a story you'd like to share? Please send your name and a one-sentence summary of your story to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday March 13. We'll be in touch with additional details. In the mean time, here are a couple of links with pointers on how to craft a great story.( The Tavern Talk is not affiliated with either The Moth or TED talks.) https://themoth.org/share-your-story/storytelling-tips-tricks https://tedconfblog.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/andrewstanton-ted_poster_translated_v21.jpg Special thanks to Revolution Brewing--our Tavern Talk sponsor!
