One of the largest free outdoor holiday light displays in Northern Illinois, the Festival of Lights, returns with dazzling displays that will delight both adults and children. Enjoy the magic! This signature winter event is a drive-through of more than one mile of spectacular lighted displays, many of which are animated, and are illuminated by tens of thousands of bulbs. Staged at Aurora's gem, Phillips Park, the festival will be open from 5-9pm Sun-Thurs & 5-10pm Fri-Sat, from the day after Thanksgiving to the day after Christmas. Santa will be at the Visitors Center on selected dates and times. Free: donations encouraged.
Santa will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekend of Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10; and again on Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17. Santa will return prior to Christmas for four consecutive days on Wednesday, December 20 through Saturday, December 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
